Phone Settings - Why are they important?
To ensure the best possible experience with your Sirène – or as a Runner, we suggest that you make sure the following settings are enabled on your smartphone.
Having the settings in your smartphone set according to the below suggestions ensures that the automatic connection to your Sirène works correctly and that you receive the necessary notifications – for instance if someone is in need of your help.
iOS:
App Settings
Go to settings and scroll down until you see the Apps. Locate the Sirène app in the list of apps and select it.
In the Sirène app settings you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
1 – Locations settings – Always
2 – Bluetooth – Enabled
3 – Notifications/Messages – Enabled
4 – Background App Refresh – Enabled
5 – Mobile Data – Enabled
Battery Settings
Go to settings and scroll down until you see Battery and select it.
In the Battery settings you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
1 – Power saving – Disabled
Android:
App Settings
Go to settings and scroll down until you see the Apps. Locate the Sirène app in the list of apps and select it.
In App Info you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
1 – Notifications – Allowed
2 – Permissions – Location, Nearby Devices and Notifications, Bluetooth. (Select “Permissions” to grant or remove permissions)
3 – Remove permission if app is unused – Disabled
4 – Nearby Devices – Enabled (Always)
5 – Pause app activity if unused – Disabled
6 - Contacts - Allowed
Battery Settings
Go to settings and scroll down until you see Battery and select it.
In the Battery settings you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
1 – Power saving – Disabled/Unrestricted
Quick Menu
Swipe from the top of your screen to access the quick menu. In this menu you will see certain settings light up – this means they are enabled.
In this menu you need to ensure the following settings are set accordingly:
1 – Bluetooth – Enabled
2 – Location – Enabled
3 – Mobile Data – Enabled
