What do I need to do when I receive an alert?

  • Updated

When you receive an alert, you can accept or decline it. You'll receive a push notification where you can respond with yes or no. Additionally, in the app, you'll be prompted to assist or you can choose to ignore. If you accept the alert, you'll gain access to the exact location of your contact and the fastest route to them. If other contacts also accept the alert, you'll also see each other's locations. This way, you can coordinate with each other on how best to help.

We want to emphasize that your safety always comes first. Please refrain from physically intervening in conflicts. Typically, this isn't necessary. Studies show that the mere presence of witnesses like you can de-escalate tense situations. If needed, call emergency services and notify the police for assistance.

You are not obligated to respond to the alert. However, as a witness to a dangerous situation, you are encouraged by law to inform the police.
